About the program
The office of Yosuke Suzuki, a member of Japan's National Diet and the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP), is offering an internship for overseas students interested in Japanese politics. This is a unique opportunity to gain a hands-on experience in policy research, governance, and local political activities. Interns also have the opportunity to contribute to the work of a prominent Japanese politician.
About the position
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research to support legislative initiatives.
- Gathering information regarding international affairs for policy making.
- Engaging with international organizations and foreign politicians
- Support office operations, including communications and administrative tasks.
- Assist with local political activities in the districts of Bunkyo and Toshima (Tokyo).
About you
We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about policy-making and eager to make a difference. You should be:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s level program in a relevant field
- Fluent in English
- Enroll in the internship as part of their bachelor’s or master’s degree as job experience or foreign experience
Preferably, we would also look for students who:
- Fluent in Japanese or other languages
